What's the daily devotion for today? ›

Jesus, only you “have the words of eternal life.” Help me to search them out, understand them, and obey them, trusting in you as the Lord and Savior. Amen.

All things, even the things affecting me right now, are God's servants. The circ*mstance, people, and events around me are all under God. They are His servants, designed to help and bless me spiritually.

“Father, thank You for the power that You give my words to change my life. Help me to give my faith a voice by speaking words of life and blessing over myself and my future daily. I declare that You are greater than any mountain I face. In Jesus' Name, Amen.”

Morning Devotions are your personal moments when you reflect on God's Word and take note of what His Word tells you. It is in these times where you get that “Aha!” moment after reading through Scripture. You get lessons and nuggets of insight after a morning devotion, which you can bring through the rest of the day.

Today's Verse

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Love one another. Jesus Christ, beloved and rejected, intimately knew both the joy of love and the pain when it is withheld. So it's no wonder that when asked what was the greatest commandment, He responded with love. “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

Today's Daily Prayer

We stand in your presence and pour out our hearts to you. We bring before you everything that is painful to us, all our suffering and needs. We also bring you all our hopes and the many proofs you have given us that our lives need not go to ruin but can be directed to greater things.

Lord, I don't know what lay before me today, but I commit it all to You. Please give me strength and courage to get through the joys, challenges and happenings of the day. I thank You for my life and for all that I have; I commit this day to You. No matter what happens, I know You have me in the palm of Your hand.

Father, Your Son has taught us to ask You for what we need. Some of us need work, and we ask that You provide. Some among us are sick, and we ask that Your healing hand may be upon us. Some are hungry and we cry out to You, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

Do not look back on happiness-or dream of it in the future. You are only sure of today; do not let yourself be cheated out of it. The past, the present and the future are really one-they are today. One today is worth two tomorrows; what I am to be, I am now becoming.

Almighty God, we ask for your help and guidance in our lives. Help us recommit ourselves so that we may remain faithful to you. Lead us everyday to the way of humility and openness to your will. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

Morning prayers to start the day

“Good morning, dear Lord! I thank you for a new day full of good work to do. Yesterday has come and gone, along with any regrets, mistakes, or failures I may have experienced. Today is a good day to be thankful, and I thank you for our daily bread, Lord.

Dear Lord, This morning as I contemplate a new day, I ask you to help me. I want to be aware of your spirit—leading me in the decisions I take, the conversations I have, and the work I do. I want to be more like you, Jesus, as I relate to the people I meet today—friends or strangers.

My Lord God please I surrender my life and all the activities of today into your able hands. As I navigate my way today, motivate and elevate my spirit, give me a deliberate inspiration to honour and adore you. In Jesus holy name I pray, Amen ✝️✝️.
